Archery Dorset

Our Dorset Archery sessions are great fun for all ages and abilities and will leave you with a real sense of achievement. Learn to master the skills that made the English feared by rival armies during the middle ages.

Archery is a fun and competitive activity which requires good hand-eye coordination. With expert tuition and guidance our instructors will have your arrows hitting the bull’s eye in no time. No experience is necessary as we will instruct you from start to finish in various archery techniques, once mastered you will be able to hit a target with accuracy.

Whilst medieval archery involves using a longbow we have moved with the times and now offer the same thrilling experience but with the benefit of using modern recurve bows. These bows feature an ergonomic grip which is referred to as the riser. This gives all trainee archers a comfortable grip for a more pleasant archery experience.

Right-handed and left-handed bows are provided as well as youth versions for school events and children’s archery parties. Extremely popular with Cubs and Scouts as archery helps to promote confidence whilst developing a sense of responsibility.

Our Bournemouth archery range is state of the art and features genuine sized Olympic targets for you to hone your skills on. Towards the end of the session we offer all groups the chance to have a mini competition so they can pit their newfound skills against one another! The winner of the tournament will bask in the glory of their newly acquired marksmanship skills.

Archery is a relaxed target sport and complements all the shooting activities we offer such as axe throwing and crossbows. Our Bournemouth archery club is the perfect venue for all kinds of events such as stag weekends and hen-dos.

If you are a stag or hen party visiting Bournemouth then without a doubt this is a great activity to kick start your day especially if you have had a heavy one the night before! We are more than happy for the stag to dress up as Robin hood as so many have done in the past!

If you would rather that we come to your venue, then our mobile team will be more than happy to bring our mobile archery range to you. Our corporate clients often hire our archery range for team building events.

We can provide archery lessons for Schools, Colleges and Universities. For educational purposes we are more than happy to bring along a English longbow and straw archery butts for that historic feel.
